Saeed Iqbal (Executive Vice President, Group Head Investment Banking)
Mr. Iqbal has extensive Investment Banking experience especially with respect to Project & Structured Finance. Prior to joining UBL, he was the Head of Structured Finance at ANZ Investment Bank, Pakistan where he was responsible for originating, structuring and executing projects in the energy, telecom, oil & gas, infrastructure and ports sectors, amongst others. At UBL, Saeed is a direct report of the President and manages an award winning investment banking team of 19 specialists operating in both Pakistan and the GCC. Over the last three years the business has consistently closed deals cumulatively valued at approximately US$ 2.6 Billion per annum (US$ 2.5 Billion in 2007 and US$ 2 Billion in 2008). The business offers a full suite of investment banking services encompassing loan syndications, fixed income issuance and distribution, project and structured finance as well as principal equity investments, private placements and M&A. Mr. Iqbal is also a member of UBL’s Executive Committee and Investment Committee and represents the institution as a Director on the Boards of a number of companies in which UBL has an interest. Saeed holds a B.Sc. (Econ) Honours degree from the London School of Economics and an MA in Development Economics from the University of Sussex. |

Rizwan Hameed Chapra, CFA (Senior Vice President, Head Syndications & Debt Capital Markets)
Mr. Chapra is an MBA from the IBA with a silver medal and has over 12 years’ experience in Corporate and Investment Banking. Rizwan joined UBL in November 2004 and since then has executed more than 50 important Debt Capital Markets and Syndicated transactions. Prior to joining UBL, Rizwan has worked with Pakistan Kuwait Investment Company in Corporate Finance as Vice President and Team Leader. Rizwan was handling a portfolio that comprised of more than 20 relationships of Pak Kuwait and worked on various investment banking initiatives. He has served for three years (2002 to 2005) as General Secretary and Board Member of CFA Association of Pakistan, a member society of CFA Institute. |

Muhammad Umer Khan (Senior Vice President, Head Project & Structured Finance)
Mr. Khan is an MBA from the IBA and has over nine years of experience in Project & Structured Finance, Capital Markets and Corporate Advisory. Prior to joining UBL, he has worked at Standard Chartered where he was responsible for origination and structuring of Project Finance transactions for the Middle East and Pakistan region. His areas of focus include projects in the energy, power, petrochemicals and telecom sectors, amongst others. He is part of several formal and informal bodies involved in policy advocacy and development of infrastructure in Pakistan, with a focus on power generation and real estate. |

Ehsan Rahman, CFA (Vice President, Investment Banking-Middle East)
Mr. Rahman is an MBA from the IBA and has been with the IBG team since early 2006. He has over 10 years of experience in finance and management functions and has previously worked with ANZ Grindlays, Pakistan early in his career. Before joining UBL, Ehsan was running a startup concern in Turkey. He is currently responsible for origination and execution of Transactions relating to Equities and Advisory, Debt Capital Markets and Syndications and Project Finance and Advisory in the Middle East region, and is located out of UBL Dubai – Middle East Management Office. |

Syed Ali Adnan (Vice President, Head Equity and Advisory)
Mr. Adnan has over 17 years of working experience. Mr. Adnan has a diversified background with wide ranging experience of auditing, taxation, operations, finance and investment banking. Mr. Adnan is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan and also an Associate Member of Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan. Prior to joining UBL, Mr. Adnan was associated with Pak Brunei Investment Company Limited as Unit Head of Advisory & Strategic Finance, and with IGI Investment Bank Limited as SVP Corporate Finance and CFO. He has also been associated with Alfalah, GHP Investment Management Ltd, Central Depository Company of Pakistan Ltd and Ford Rhodes Sidat Hyder & Co. |

Hena Farooq (Vice President, Syndications & Debt Capital Markets)
Ms. Farooq is an MBA from the IBA and has over 9 years’ experience in Corporate Finance and Credit and Marketing. Prior to joining UBL, Hena has worked with Pakistan Kuwait Investment Company in Corporate Finance as Assistant Vice President and Team Leader and at Standard Chartered Modaraba (SCM) in Credit & Marketing as Unit Head- South. Hena was handling a portfolio that comprised of MNCs, Local Corporate and Financial Institutions at SCM and she has worked on various investment banking initiatives at Pak Kuwait. |

Shazad Amjad (Manager, Equity & Advisory)
Mr. Amjad has over 5 years of experience in banking. Shazad has worked on a variety of advisory, capital market, privatization and private equity transactions. His role in the team involves structuring, due-diligence, industry analysis, company valuations, financial modeling, coordinating with lawyers and liaising with regulatory bodies, marketing of the transaction to and liaising with investors, ensuring swift execution of transactions and assisting in deal origination. More recently he has been involved in listed and private equity initiatives as well maintaining and identifying investment opportunities for UBL’s strategic equity portfolio. Prior to joining UBL, Shazad has worked at Bank of America, Los Angeles. Shazad holds a Bachelors degree in Economics from the University of Southern California. |
